2\Main features
Smelting characteristics
1.The features of composition design:high hardenability, high toughness, good ductility, high temperature performance.
2.The use of Electric arc furnace (EAF)+ refining(LF)+ Vacuum(VD)+ Vacuum Electro-slag (ESR)make the production of die steel are in high purity and good performance.
Suggesting for heat treatment
1.Anneal:860-890℃ Hardness:≤229HB
2.Temperature for Quenching:1020-1050℃,oil or air cooling.
3.Temperature for Tempering:560-580℃,Tempering Hardness:47-49HRC,using double tempering
4.Hardness:56~58HRC
NOTE: If use the gas nitriding or carburizing permeation can further strengthen the mold, but the nitriding temperature should not higher than tempering temperature, in order to ensure that the intensity of center didn't reduced, enhance the mold life.
